Affiliate Disclosure

Last updated: 3 June 2026

Honest, plain-English disclosure about how Corynix funds its journalism and the boundary we keep between revenue and editorial.

1. How we make money

Corynix is funded through a mix of: (a) a small number of display advertising placements served by reputable ad networks; (b) sponsored content, which is always clearly labelled "Sponsored" at the top of the article; and (c) affiliate partnerships with retailers of football merchandise, books, streaming services and apparel.

2. What an affiliate link is

An affiliate link is a tracked URL. If you click an affiliate link on Corynix and subsequently make a qualifying purchase from the retailer, Corynix may receive a small commission. The price you pay is exactly the same. Affiliate commissions never come out of your pocket - they come from the retailer's marketing budget.

3. How we mark affiliate links

Where an article contains affiliate links we add a short notice at the top of the article: "This article contains affiliate links. We may earn a commission on qualifying purchases." Individual affiliate links may also be denoted with a small superscript marker.

4. Editorial independence

Affiliate revenue does not influence our editorial coverage:

  • Match analysis, predictions, player ratings and tactical pieces are produced independently of any commercial relationship.
  • We do not accept payment to publish a specific match prediction, score line or player rating.
  • We do not accept payment to write a positive or negative review of any product, brand, team or player.
  • Sponsored content is created separately from our newsroom and is clearly labelled.

5. Programmes we participate in

Corynix is or may be a participant in affiliate programmes including (without limitation) Amazon Associates, Awin, Impact, Skimlinks and direct partnerships with football-apparel retailers. Programme participation may change over time without notice.

6. FTC / ASA compliance

This disclosure is made in compliance with the U.S. Federal Trade Commission's "Guides Concerning the Use of Endorsements and Testimonials in Advertising" (16 CFR Part 255) and equivalent rules from the UK Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) and the EU Unfair Commercial Practices Directive. We aim to exceed these standards.

7. Not betting affiliates

To remove any doubt - Corynix is not a betting or gambling affiliate. We do not earn commission from bets placed by readers, and we do not host betting tipster content. See our Disclaimer for the full position on gambling.

8. Questions

If you spot an affiliate link that is not properly marked, or have any concerns about our commercial arrangements, please write to editorial@corynix.com.
